Basement in the Sky

TATTON by Mosaic Homes is one of Coquitlam's original townhome developments, and they feature some of the most unique floorplans and design features found in the new Burke Mountain development.

Call it a man cave. A home office. A recreation room where all of the kids’ toys never need to be tidied up before your guests come over.  A ‘basement in the sky’.  This is the key feature of the E and F plan units at TATTON by Mosaic Homes, where a spacious 3rd floor loft area can be used for whatever purpose works for you.  Built with families in mind, these 2,000+ sf townhomes by Mosaic are the perfect solution to the shoebox syndrome people have come to associate with townhome living.  Say good-bye to lack of storage – these are spacious single family homes that just so happen to be in a row home setting.

The folks at Mosaic have put some serious thought into this design - and they are proud of it - which is evident when you take a tour of one of these homes. From the overall flow of the space, right down to the thoughtful alignment of electrical outlets, no detail has been spared.  These homes all have oversized windows that offer a gorgeous outlook onto Victoria Park.

I have had the opportunity to take a tour with one of their development managers, and got to learn first hand how the Mosaic team works when building a home.  TATTON is not a development built by a homebuilder with some design experience – it is a development built by architects with extensive building experience.  They are recipients of industry awards and accolades for these homes, and in my opinion, it is one of the best laid out designs I have seen in a townhome setting.
